Students In Action

In the 2023-2024 school year, Chicago-based Students In Action teams representing over 15,000 students across 21 schools in Chicago are engaging with their peers, teachers, administrators, parents and community partners in over 5,000 hours of meaningful youth-led service. Our Fall and Winter Student Leadership Conferences, online service training system, annual End of Year Student Service Celebration, and in-person support of our student teams are all focused on empowering teens to make an impact on the issues they care about most!

Highlights from the 2024 Winter Conference

Over 60 Students In Action students, advisors, alumni, and community leaders gathered at the UIC campus in Chicago to learn, build connections, ask questions, and have fun. In addition to educational workshops designed to help participants hone their skills around evaluating and communicating their impact, students had the opportunity to interact with other students from across Chicago and with other peers and community leaders.
