When Corinne was 11 years old, she saw a homeless man on the streets near her home, dressed in just jeans and a t-shirt on a terribly cold day, and she knew she had to find a way to help him. She and her best friend Katrine were ski racers, and one day noticed a huge pile of warm coats, hats and gloves at the lost and found. They asked if we could take the clothing and donate them to the homeless. Thus Warm Winters was born! Since 2011, they have donated over 5,000 items of warm clothing to over 2,500 people, and have a 5-year goal to work with 50-60 ski resorts in 10 states, have 100-125 teen leaders (WarmWinTeens), to distribute warm clothing to 50,000 homeless people.
