Jack Russi

Chairman, Board of Governors

Jack Russi, Vice Chairman & National Managing Partner, Deloitte LLP, is responsible within the Deloitte US firms for merger and acquisition activities, divestiture of underperforming assets/services, and accelerating growth of specific market opportunities. He has 30 years of experience and is active in serving many of the Deloitte U.S. Firms’ most prominent clients. Jack has been instrumental in many strategic initiatives including Innovation and Deloitte’s focus on the early stage venture capital, technology, and life sciences sectors. He is also responsible for the Deloitte US Firms’ client contracting processes. He was previously the Regional Managing Partner of the Northern California, Pacific Northwest and Hawaii regions. Prior to that, he served as the managing partner of the Northern California & Hawaii Assurance practice. Jack is also very active in strengthening our communities through his involvement in organizations like Jefferson Awards Foundation where Deloitte was instrumental in helping to develop the Jefferson Awards youth programs, including Students in Action which has been rolled out in thirteen communities and 325 high schools, GlobeChangers, and the Lead360 Challenge. Jack sits on the JAF Board of Governors and is Chairman of the Bay Area Jefferson Awards Advisory Board. Jack is also involved in the Inner City Advisors (Michael Porter’s Initiative for a Competitive Inner City) where he is currently the chairman and a co-founder. Other Board participation includes United Way Advisory Board, Bay Area Council, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Project Homeless Connect where he was one of the initial board members and founders and has helped expand this program to over 200 cities nationally and internationally, and an All Stars Helping Kids board member. He has established and leads a forum to help CFOs build networks and address their strategic issues. Jack is one of the founders and sponsors of the Bay Area CFO of the Year Award. Jack and his wife, Jodie, have been married 29 years and have four children. They reside in Lafayette, California. Jack earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of California Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa), where he chairs the University’s Haas School of Business Board. He also attended the Columbia Graduate School of Business Leadership Development Program, and the Wharton Executive Leadership Program.
